After the conclusion of the Wyndham Championship, the PGA TOUR will head to its first playoff event of 2025. The top 70 players in the FedExCup points list usually advance to the FedEx St. Jude Championship, but this season it will be reduced to 69 players because Rory McIlroy will not be in the field this week. The 2025 Masters champion finished T68 at this event in 2024 and has opted out of returning this year.
The top 50 players in the standings will advance to the 2025 BMW Championship once the week has concluded.
It’s no shocker that two-time major winner in 2025 Scottie Scheffler (+260) is the favorite this week on DraftKings Sportsbook. There is a large gap between him and Xander Schauffele (+1900), who has the second-best odds to win. Justin Thomas (+2200), Ludvig Aberg (+2500) and Tommy Fleetwood (+2500) round out the top five favorites. 2024 champion Hideki Matsuyama (+4000) is also in the field and will be looking to go back-to-back at this event.
This year’s FedEx St. Jude Championship will take place at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee, from August 7-10.
