Las Vegas Aces vs. Minnesota Lynx prediction, pick for Saturday 8/2/25

The Minnesota Lynx are coasting towards the WNBA Playoffs, while the Las Vegas Aces are fighting for their lives.

Minnesota sits five games above the field on its quest to the No. 1 seed armed with the best offense in the league, an elite defense and a soon-to-be MVP in Napheesa Collier. They’re set up well to make another WNBA Finals run and try to exact revenge on the New York Liberty. They measured up well on July 30 at home, beating the Liberty 100-93.

Las Vegas is far removed from being in contention mode. Survival is the name of the game right now. They’re only a game ahead of the closest non-playoff team and have been on the bubble all season long. Nobody outside of the Liberty expects to beat the Lynx at the moment, but the Aces have no choice as their season hangs in the balance with each game.

The Lynx are 5.5-point favorites on the road and hold -258 odds on the Moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. The total is set at 165.5 points. Let’s look at the best bets and predictions for this Lynx-Aces contest.

Aces vs. Lynx prediction, pick

While the gap between these two teams is vast, their top stars are playing a sport of their own. Napheesa Collier and A’ja Wilson are the two best players in the WNBA, and watching them go head-to-head on Saturday will be a treat.

The last matchup conclusively went to Collier. Not only did the Lynx win by 31, but Napheesa put up 25 points in 26 minutes while A’ja was only held to 15. Now she has another chance to make her case as the best in the world. Based on last matchup’s result, I’m backing Phee and Co. to make another statement.

Yes, the Aces are playing with desperation, but that doesn’t measure up well against the immense talent of Minnesota. Take the Lynx as road favorites and don’t think twice.

Top Pick: Minnesota Lynx -5.5 (-115)
