Will Omarion Hampton Win Offensive Rookie of the Year? NFL Predictions, Betting Splits for Chargers

Kansas City remains top dog in the AFC West, but there’s been some interesting action on the Chargers in the Division Winner market.

Still, the best Chargers-related futures bet may lie in the Awards section of DraftKings Sportsbook

You’ll find numbers on those markets and more below.

Omarion Hampton Futures Splits

Despite having longer odds than Ashton Jeanty (+275) and Cam Ward (+350), Omarion Hampton has seen the most handle of any rookie listed in the Offensive Rookie of the Year section on DraftKings Sportsbook. With his +750 odds, Hampton has seen 15% of the handle on seven percent of the bets, indicating a sharp lean on the Los Angeles running back.

Additionally, the over on his Regular Season Rushing Yards prop is both the sharp and public play. Set at 825.5, the over has seen 88% of the handle on 73% of the bets.

For those looking to back Hampton in his rookie campaign, you’ve got options. The rushing yards prop is the more conservative play, and the odds are set at -110. But with that lean in the OROY market, splitting a unit between the two options may be the way to go.

Also worth noting: Omarion Hampton has seen the third-most handle for Most Rushing TDs while carrying +6500 odds.

Chargers Win Total

Last season, the Chargers had a preseason win total of 8.5, and the over came through. After finishing 11-6 in 2024, their 2025 preseason win total has bumped up to 9.5.

The vast majority of the action is still going toward the over, which has seen 90% of the bets placed on this betting option. However, those picks only account for 87% of the handle. A public, non-sharp play.

Part of why that could be the case: The Chargers were 2-5 straight up (3-4 ATS) against playoff teams last season.

That said, there is a sharp pro-Chargers option for those looking to back Jim Harbaugh and company. In the Division winner market, the Chargers (+265) have only seen 12% of the bets to win the AFC West. But, those bets make up 16% of the handle for this division’s market. Not an overwhelming sharp play, but the splits indicate a sharp lean nonetheless.

Other Notable Player Prop Splits

The over on Justin Herbert’s Regular Season Passing Yards prop has seen quite a bit of action, taking in 89% of the bets on this play. Yes, it’s a public play, but there also seems to be some sharp money. Those over bets have accounted for 93% of the handle laid down on this play.

Looking to Herbert’s favorite target from 2024, Ladd McConkey’s Regular Season Receiving Yards line is set at 1025.5. The over has seen 93% of the handle, but on 98% of the bets, thus indicating a slight sharp lean to the under (seven percent of the handle on two percent of the bets).

While the data above will help you with season-long plays, the following stats produced by McConkey and Quentin Johnston in 2024 are instead applicable to gameday player props.

  • Ladd McConkey
    • Receptions: 9-6 to the over
    • Receiving Yards: 11-5 to the over
  • Quentin Johnston
    • Receiving Yards: 9-5 to the over
