Red Sox at Twins game delayed due to rain Monday 7/28/25

UPDATE: The game is expected to resume play at 12:05 a.m. ET

We got so close to finishing Monday night’s game between the Boston Red Sox and the Minnesota Twins. The Red Sox scored in the top of the ninth inning to pull ahead, but we never made it to the bottom of the ninth. The game is now in a rain delay.

It puts a damper on Roman Anthony’s heroics. The Red Sox rookie came through with a massive RBI single to break the tie, a staple moment for the Rookie of the Year contender.

There’s no update on when the game will resume. Since there was only a half-inning left to go, it won’t be difficult to resume play later tonight, or before tomorrow’s 7:40 p.m. ET start.
