Marlins OF Kyle Stowers status update Monday 7/28/25

Less than an hour before Monday’s game vs. the Cardinals, OF Kyle Stowers was scratched from the Miami lineup. He will be replaced in left field by Heriberto Hernandez.

According to MLB.com’s Christina De Nicola, the last-minute scratch has nothing to do with a potential trade. At this time of the season, you never know, so that will be a sigh of relief for Marlins fans. Stowers is having the breakout year of his career thus far, totaling 100 hits in 2025. His previous career high was 40. He’s also having a career year in runs, home runs, RBIs and batting average. The season is far from done, and hopefully, this illness is a quick one and Stowers can get back to his fine form.

The Marlins are +104 underdogs tonight on DraftKings Sportsbook with the total set at 8.5 runs. Stay tuned to DK Network for any updates on Stowers’ condition.
