Minnesota Lynx vs. Atlanta Dream prediction, pick for Sunday 7/27/25

Updated:

By: Alex Hunter

The Lynx are hosting the Dream on Sunday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Minnesota is favored by eight points and this game carries a total of 159 points.

Below, I break down the matchup between the Lynx and the Dream and give a pick for the game.

Lynx vs. Dream preview, prediction

While the Dream are having a strong season with a 14-10 record, the club is no match for the Lynx. Minnesota leads the WNBA with a convincing 22-4 record and the club leads the league in net rating by a solid gap. For perspective, the Lynx own a 14.1 net rating, compared to the Dream at 5.7.

Sunday will be the second time these teams have gone head-to-head this season. In the first meeting, the Lynx defeated the Dream 96-92 in an overtime thriller in Atlanta. This time around, the Lynx will be at home in Minnesota, where the club is a perfect 14-0 this season. The top-seeded club is led by MVP frontrunner Napheesa Collier – she is a -800 favorite to win MVP on DraftKings Sportsbook – who is leading the WNBA with 23.1 PPG.

On top of having to facing the Lynx on their home floor, Atlanta will be without Rhyne Howard (knee) on Sunday. The All-Star is averaging 16.5 PPG this season, which ranks second only to Allisha Gray for the Dream. The latter is leading Atlanta with a career-high 19.0 PPG this season, but Gray hasn’t increased her production sans Howard and the Dream are only 2-3 with her inactive this season.

Lynx vs. Dream pick, best bet

With Howard sidelined, the Lynx should have no trouble defeating the Dream on Sunday and Minnesota is an outstanding bet to cover this eight-point spread. The Lynx are a league-best 16-10 ATS this season and not only is the team undefeated at home, but 10 of those 14 victories in Minnesota have been by double-digits.

Best bet: Lynx -8
