Golf Best Bets: Cut Parlay for the 3M Open

By: Alex Hunter

The PGA TOUR season continues this week with the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities (par 71, 7,431 yards, bentgrass greens) in Blaine, Minnesota. This field features 156 players and there will be a top-65 and ties cut following the first two rounds.

Below, I have featured a cut parlay to consider for the 3M Open.

3M Open Cut Parlay

  • Keith Mitchell to make the cut -190
  • Jesper Svensson to make the cut -175
  • Hayden Springer to make the cut -140

Keith Mitchell to make the cut

Outside of 2022, Mitchell has competed at every 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities and he has made four of five cuts at the par 71, including two T5 finishes. This season, Mitchell has been a reliable cut maker, advancing to the weekend in 14 of his 17 solo starts with seven top-25 finishes. The 33-year-old ranks ninth in par four performance this season and Mitchell should find himself safely inside the cutline at the 3M Open come Friday night. Notably, four of the last five winners at TPC Twin Cities have finished the tournament top-three in par four efficiency.

Jesper Svensson to make the cut

Svensson is a strong bet to make the cut this week, despite this being his first attempt at TPC Twin Cities. Svensson has only missed two cuts in his last 15 solo starts and he is fresh off a T16 at the Open Championship last week. This marked the best major finish of his career and Svensson ranked fourth among the world-class field at Royal Portrush in SGT2G. The Swede closed the Open Championship with a 6-under 65 in the final round and is looking to build off this impressive showing. Svensson has the potential for a high finish in his 3M Open debut this week.

Hayden Springer to make the cut

Springer finished T59th in his 3M Open debut last season and after finishing T23rd at the Barracuda Championship last week, he has made seven consecutive cuts. Springer has only missed two cuts in 15 solo starts this season and he ranks 23rd on the PGA TOUR in total driving. With bombers like Matthew Wolff, Cameron Champ and Tony Finau winning at TPC Twin Cities, this is certainly a course that favors strong drivers and Springer’s impressive work off-the-tee should result in him advancing through the cut at TPC Twin Cities for the second year in a row.

Cut Parlay Odds: +311
