We’re nearing the 100-game mark of the regular season for many teams, which means the baseball will only continue to get spicier and more important. Tonight is a perfect example, as the Yankees travel north of the border to square-off with the Blue Jays in a battle for AL East supremacy.

Kodai Senga, New York Mets vs. Los Angeles Angels, $9,300 – To be clear, Senga’s 1.39 ERA is an anomaly. I know that. Still, a 3.17 xERA and a 3.17 FIP across 77.2 innings isn’t too shabby. Nor is a 12.6% swinging strike rate. Senga might not be thiiiiiis good, but he’s still quite good. Now he’ll get to face an Angels team that owns the league’s second-highest strikeout rate (25.8%). The one thing Los Angeles does well in 2025 is hit home runs. Unfortunately for them, Senga’s been one of the best at negating opposing power numbers. Equipped with a career-high 47.5% ground ball rate, Senga has conceded just 0.46 long balls per nine in his 14 starts.

Jacob Lopez, Athletics at Texas Rangers, $6,800 – First and foremost, it’s a plus that this contest is not taking place at Sutter Health Park. Secondly, it’s time to start talking about Lopez as a legitimate DFS asset. Over his last seven starts, Lopez is in possession of a 2.52 ERA, a 3.12 FIP and a 28.9% strikeout rate. The lefty’s velocity isn’t overpowering, but Lopez’s funky delivery and 93rd percentile extension have combined to frustrate opposing hitters. In fact, both Lopez’s fastball and slider have registered a whiff rate over 30% so far in 2025. He’ll look to keep his recent success going tonight against a Rangers lineup that has struggled with LHPs all year long. Texas is batting only .216 with a 71 wRC+ within the split.
INFIELD

Ivan Herrera, St. Louis Cardinals at Colorado Rockies, $5,500 – Herrera hasn’t missed a beat since returning from the IL last week, with four hits in his first four games back. Now he’ll get the pleasure of facing-off with Austin Gomber ($4,500) in Colorado. To be fair, Gomber has only made six starts in 2025, but he owns a 7.36 ERA at Coors Field and he’s surrendering 1.88 opponent home runs per nine. This is obviously a spot to attack. For his part, Herrera has crushed left-handed pitching in 2025, mustering a .391 ISO and a 228 wRC+ in his 58 plate appearances within the split. It’s all small samples, yet I’m willing to take my chances.

Eugenio Suarez, Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Houston Astros, $5,200 – Suarez might not be on the Diamondbacks much longer, but he’s certainly leaving an impression. The 34-year-old has hit a pair of home runs in back-to-back games, bringing his total for the season to 35. Among all qualified hitters, Suarez’s .344 ISO is the third-best mark in all of baseball, trailing only Aaron Judge and Cal Raleigh. Pretty good company! On Monday, Suarez and the rest of Arizona’s lineup with draw the left-handed Colton Gordon ($6,900), who has allowed opposing RHBs to bat .306 with a 1.94 home runs per nine. Advantage: Suarez.

Willy Adames, San Francisco Giants at Atlanta Braves, $4,200 – The Giants just got swept by the Blue Jays, but it wasn’t Adames’ fault, as the shortstop smashed a pair of no-doubt home runs on Saturday. San Francisco’s big free agent addition is finally heating up in July, slashing .291/.361/.655 with a 181 wRC+ in 15 games. Adames also has some history with Bryce Elder ($6,300) — tonight’s starter for the Braves — with a pair of long balls and a double in 13 career at-bats. That level of individual success tracks, too. Elder has some ugly reverse-splits in 2025, giving up 1.99 home runs per nine to opposing RHBs. Woof.
OUTFIELD

Seiya Suzuki, Chicago Cubs vs. Kansas City Royals, $5,100 – The wind is supposed to be blowing in tonight at Wrigley, which isn’t ideal, but it’s still difficult to ignore Suzuki against a southpaw. In 122 plate appearances within the split, Suzuki owns a .392 wOBA and a 157 wRC+. In fact, among players with at least 75 PAs versus LHPs this season, Suzuki’s .427 expected wOBA is the eighth-highest mark in MLB. Noah Cameron ($8,000) is due for some regression. Why not start this evening in Chicago?

Jurickson Profar, Atlanta Braves vs. San Francisco Giants, $3,600 – Profar hasn’t been amazing since returning from his 80-game suspension, but he does sport a .217 ISO and a 102 wRC+ across 62 plate appearances. At this price, that’s more than enough to be viable when batting out of Atlanta’s leadoff spot. It also helps that Hayden Birdsong ($6,600) is getting the start for the Giants. Birdsong has some decent stuff, yet he’s struggled in the rotation in 2025, with a 5.10 ERA in his nine starts. Birdsong has had his issues with LHBs, as well. Lefties have combined to hit 2.08 home runs per nine off the right-hander with a .390 wOBA.
