The NASCAR Cup Series Cook Out 400 at Richmond is on Sunday and DraftKings is offering a new way to play fantasy NASCAR. The game is simple. There are many questions about how the new tire and lack of tires will play out at Richmond. However, there are no questions about Denny Hamlin’s dominance. His Gen-7 track history is the best in the series. He’s won twice and earned two runner-up finishes with this racing package at his home track. He should have three wins, but Austin Dillon’s kamikaze move at the end of last fall’s race cost him one. This is arguably one of Hamlin’s best seasons. Outside of road courses and superspeedway races, Hamlin has been a no-doubt elite pick.
His practice speeds on the officially released NASCAR speed charts don’t scream speed. However, a closer look at NASCAR insider information tells a different story. The lap-by-lap data is revealing: when all drivers’ laps are sorted from best to worst, Hamlin is the fastest on worn tires. His average time from his 15th-best lap to his 30th-best lap was the quickest in practice.
Kyle Larson: Fantasy Points – 62.5

This feels like the week to fade Yung Money. He wasn’t great in practice and struggled in qualifying. The No. 5 Hendrick Chevy hasn’t been elite over the past couple of months. To reach a top-five position without fast-lap or lap-led points, the No. 5 needs a strong performance. Larson hasn’t been a top-five driver lately, making him an easy fade. Pick “less.” But here’s the catch: Larson is a top-five driver. Forever and ever, Larson is top five—that will never change. There will be hiccups, but betting against the best is beyond risky. It’s worked lately, but it won’t work forever. If this race is clean and relatively mistake-free for Larson, he could easily secure a top-10 finish and some fast-lap points. That’s a Pick6 win for “better.”

In each Pick Set, you can not pick the same player twice and you must pick players from at least two different teams.
Enter an Amount
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
Sweat Your Picks
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Compete for Prizes
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
