Here are my top Pick6 plays for today’s MLB slate.
Mike Trout More Than 1.5 Total Bases
Mike Trout is having a solid season for the Angels. The three-time AL MVP and future Hall-of-Famer has disappeared from the forefront of baseball over the last several years due to a combination of injuries and a non-competitive team. However, this season, Trout has managed to stay healthy for the most part and is performing well at the plate. He has an .839 OPS on the season, which by Trout standards isn’t on his old MVP-level, but it still makes him a great hitter in the context of the rest of the MLB. He has been even stronger against righties, with an .895 OPS against right-handers. He should be happy to see Taijuan Walker, whom he has crushed in his career. Trout is 11-for-19 with three home runs in his career against Walker and should be able to register an extra-base hit today.
Randy Arozarena More Than 1.5 Total Bases
Randy Arozarena is having an excellent season in Seattle. He is coming off his second career All-Star Game appearance and is full of confidence at the plate. His power at the plate has been fantastic, with a .470 SLG and an .828 OPS, both of which would be career-best numbers if he sustains them all season. Arozarena’s confidence should be even higher, knowing that he is facing Lance McCullers Jr. in this game. Arozarena has a .462 batting average in 16 career at-bats against McCullers. McCullers is really struggling this season, with a 6.48 ERA through 10 starts. Arozarena should perform well and get over 1.5 total bases in this game.
Paul Goldschmidt More Than 0.5 Hits
Paul Goldschmidt has adapted his game well in his first season in New York. Goldschmidt doesn’t have the same crushing power that he had in the early parts of his career, but he is improving his discipline at the plate and is having a great season as a contact hitter. He is batting .287 on the season, but he has been particularly great against left-handers. Goldschmidt is batting .402 on the season against lefties, the second-best mark in baseball this season. The left-handed Joey Wentz will take the mound for Atlanta. Goldschmidt is 1-for-1 in the one career meeting between the two. Wentz has really struggled this year, sporting a .632 ERA and already on his third team in 2025. This will be his first start of the season as well. Goldschmidt should, at the very least, register a base hit in this game.
Juan Soto More Than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Juan Soto is having a great season at the plate in his first season in New York. After a bit of a slow start, Soto has started to crush the ball, including hitting a home run yesterday in the first game back from the All-Star break. Soto ranks third in the MLB in OBP and fourth in runs scored. He is surrounded by great hitters in the Mets’ lineup, with All-Star Francisco Lindor ahead of him and All-Star Pete Alonso behind him. This creates a lot of opportunities for Soto to register RBIs and score runs. Soto only has one career at-bat against Nick Martinez, and he sent that out for a home run. He should be able to generate some power against Martinez and cash this pick.

Create a Pick Set by choosing 2+ players from the same sport and Pick Group (a set of picks available from a group of set competitions). For each player, simply select if you think they’ll have more or less than their listed stat projection. In each Pick Set, you can not pick the same player twice and you must pick players from at least two different teams.
Enter an Amount
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
Sweat Your Picks
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Compete for Prizes
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
