We’re in the home stretch of the Las Vegas Summer League. Both the Cleveland Cavaliers and Sacramento Kings must be pleased with what they’ve seen so far. Sacramento is especially happy as a win should put them in the NBA Summer League playoffs.
DraftKings Sportsbook lists the Sacramento Kings as five-point favorites and -218 on the Moneyline. The Cleveland Cavaliers are listed at +180 odds on the Moneyline with the game total set at 183.5. Let’s get into a breakdown of the two Summer League squads, players to watch, and a pick for the contest.
Cavaliers vs. Kings prediction, preview
The major story for the Cavaliers so far has been Jaylon Tyson. The 22-year-old is positively stuffing the stat sheet in Vegas, putting up 19.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.7 assists, and 2.6 combined steals + blocks per game. It’s a strong step towards securing a rotation spot. After a rookie season spent riding the bench, the 20th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft has made a case for minutes sooner than later.
It hasn’t been a fun summer for second-round pick Tyrese Proctor. The Duke draftee is shooting 29.7% from the field in his first taste of the NBA. Known for his defense and connective passing, he’ll need to hit more shots if he has any hope of getting minutes in the future. Despite his age and experience, he seems destined for a lot of G-League action.

The Kings have ridden to a 3-0 record on the strength of their two best prospects. Devin Carter spent his rookie year largely out of the rotation while nursing a shoulder injury and rebuilding his jump shot. Now, he’s cooking in Summer League as the 23-year-old is scoring 18.3 points per game while hitting 50% of his threes.
Carter isn’t the only King looking to take the crown. Nique Clifford, their 2025 first-round pick, is scorching from the field. Clifford is scoring 18.3 PPG as well while hitting 60.6% of his shots from the field. The duo has provided efficient scoring, complemented by their size, athleticism, and defensive talents. Don’t forget Maxime Raynaud too — the rookie has put up 33 points through his first two games.

Cavaliers vs. Kings pick, best bet
Cleveland has put on a good showing in Vegas and Jaylon Tyson has been one of the best all-around players so far. Still, this Sacramento Kings team has been another level of good.
One more win would put them in a strong position to make the Vegas final four playoff. It’s not the most coveted trophy you’ll find, but a lot of these guys are eager to play more games and show their stuff. With at least one more game on the line if they win this, I’m counting on the Kings to pull through and secure a 4-0 record.
