The final major of 2025 has arrived, as the best players in the world will head to Northern Ireland for the 2025 Open Championship.
Xander Schauffele will be looking to defend his 2024 Open Championship, as he beat out Justin Rose and Billy Horschel by two shots at Royal Troon a year ago.

Top 20 Finish Including Ties (+110)
This bet can be found under the “Tournament Lines” tab. Xander Schauffele has played in the Open Championship seven times, finishing in at least a tie for 20th place on five occasions, including in each of the last three years. He did finish T41 at Royal Portrush in 2019, but it’s hard to factor in a finish from six years ago.
Schauffele is a much better golfer than he was back then, becoming a major champion for the first time in 2024 with a PGA Championship and Open Championship. His T8 finish at the Scottish Open last week only encourages me further that it will be a solid week at the office for Xander.
He struggled with the driver in Scotland, losing strokes off the tee. However, he gained strokes in every other category, most notably +2.78 on approach. The struggles with the driver are nothing new, as he ranks 112th on the PGA TOUR this season in strokes gained off the tee.
Xander will know what he has to improve on going into this week, and now it’s just a matter of executing. I am not confident in him competing to win due to his recent form, but considering his history at this tournament and his performance last week in Scotland, I don’t see why a top 20 finish wouldn’t be attainable.
