Prize money for 2025 Home Run Derby: how much does the winner earn?

The 2025 MLB Home Run Derby is taking place on Monday, July 14 at 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN. This year, Atlanta is hosting the event. The participants include OF James Wood, C Cal Raleigh, OF Byron Buxton, OF Oneil Cruz, 3B Junior Caminero, DH Brent Rooker, 2B Jazz Chisholm Jr., and 1B Matt Olson.

The Home Run Derby has a total prize pool of $2.5 million, with the winner taking home $1 million. The runner-up will win $750,000. Every participant in the Home Run Derby receives $150,000.

Raleigh is the favorite to win this event at +295 on DraftKings Sportsbook. He is currently leading the MLB in home runs with 38. Cruz has the second-best odds at +320 with Wood being +475.
