The 2024 NCAA women’s lacrosse tournament will continue on this Thursday, with quarterfinal matchups taking place from the campus sites of higher ranked teams. The winners will advance to the semifinals, which will take place from WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina on Friday, May 24.
No. 1 Northwestern is the defending national champion and is on a quest to become the first team to go back-to-back since Maryland did it in 2014 & 2015. The Wildcats are the odds favorite to hoist the trophy once again, and made a statement by burying Denver in a 17-4 first-round trouncing on Sunday. Meanwhile No. 2 Boston College is tracking right behind them and is fresh off a 21-16 victory over Princeton in round one.
