Kyle Schwarber More Than 0.5 Home Runs
Kyle Schwarber is having another incredible year as a power bat for the Phillies. He ranks fourth in the MLB in home runs and fifth in OPS as we approach the All-Star break. Since 2017, only Aaron Judge has more home runs than Schwarber. He will look to add that total tonight against Yu Darvish and the Padres. Schwarber has dominated against Darvish in the past. In his career against Darvish, Schwarber is 5-for-14 with two home runs. Schwarber is on fire coming into this game, with home runs in each of his past three games and five of his past nine. He has a great chance to keep his hot streak rolling and homer for the fourth straight game.
Mark Vientos More Than 1.5 Total Bases
Mark Vientos finally had a breakout game last night in Kansas City. Vientos had a breakthrough season for the Mets last year, particularly in the postseason. They were hoping he would be one of their key contributors in 2025, but that has not been the case. Last night’s game in Kansas City could have been just the spark that Vientos needed. He had a three-RBI double that broke the game open for the Mets and added a base hit as well. He could ride that momentum into today’s game and register another extra-base hit against Michael Lorenzen. Vientos is 2-for-2 in his career against Lorenzen, including a home run.
Alex Bregman More Than 0.5 Hits
Alex Bregman made his return to the Red Sox lineup last night after an IL stint. He said that he felt good at the plate and went 1-for-4 against the Rays. Today, Shane Baz is on the mound against the Red Sox. Bregman is 5-for-9 with two doubles and a home run in his career against Baz. He should feel confident at the plate against Baz and pick up at least a base hit in this game. Prior to his IL stint, Bregman was having a great year, batting .299 in his first campaign in Boston. He should keep that going and register a hit today against the Rays.
Tyler Freeman More Than 1.5 Total Bases
Tyler Freeman has been one of the lone bright spots for the Rockies this season. After three mediocre seasons in Cleveland, Freeman is having by far the best season of his career in his first year in Colorado. He is batting .336 this season, and while he doesn’t have enough plate appearances to be an “eligible batter,” he would trail only Aaron Judge in batting average if he did qualify. He has been even better against right-handed pitchers this season with a remarkable .385 AVG against right-handers, the best mark by far of anyone with at least 100 plate appearances against righties. He should have a great performance today against the right-handed Brady Singer. Singer has a 4.32 ERA and the Reds rank 18th in bullpen ERA. Freeman should make this a multi-hit game and hit this pick.
Corey Seager Less Than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Corey Seager is having a bit of a down year by his standards. From 2023 to 2024, he had a .303 batting average and a .939 OPS. So far in 2025, he has a .270 batting average and an .857 OPS. He has particularly struggled against left-handed pitching this season. He is batting just .233 against lefties this year and just eight of his 30 RBIs this season have come against lefties. He is facing a particularly tough left-hander tonight in Framber Valdez. Valdez has a 2.90 ERA this season and left-handed opposing batters are hitting just .218 against him. Seager has a .226 career batting average against Valdez and shouldn’t be able to generate much against him tonight.
Jackson Chourio More Than 1.5 Total Bases
Jackson Chourio is having another good season at the plate for the Brewers. He has been particularly strong against left-handed pitching. His .355 batting average against lefties is the fifth-best mark in baseball. Today, he is facing the left-handed Shinnosuke Ogasawara and the Nationals. Ogasawara has made just one career start in the MLB in which he gave up four runs in 2.2 innings. Washington also has the worst bullpen in baseball this season with a 5.79 ERA. Chourio should be able to have a big day at the plate against Washington and record at least two total bases.
