Chan Kim leads the ISCO Championship by four strokes after the first round on Thursday, shooting a bogey-free 61 for a round of nine-under par. He is now the betting favorite to win the tournament at +280, jumping all the way up from +5500 odds before the week began.
There are three players in the chasing pack at five-under, and five different players at four-under. Kim has cemented a solid lead over most of the field.
Now it’s time to regroup after the first round and take a look at what DraftKings Sportsbook has to offer with three rounds in this tournament remaining.
Cameron Champ Top 10 Including Ties (+150)
Champ is in a large group of players currently tied for 10th after shooting an opening round of three-under par. Champ has been playing solid golf for the last month, with three top 30 finishes in his last three starts going into this week.
He opened up with a standard round of 67. The front nine wasn’t his best stuff, finishing with two birdies and two bogeys. The back nine was better golf from him, getting an eagle on the 12th, followed by a birdie on 13. From holes 14-18, he finished with five straight pars.
Champ’s all-around game on Thursday was solid, but not spectacular. He gained strokes in every category on the field, the most impressive being +3.61 tee to green. Around and on the greens, however, he was pretty close to average compared to the rest of the field.
Champ will know what he has to work on, but is still right in the mix for a top 10 spot and I think his recent momentum will help him achieve that this week against a weaker-than-usual field.
