After an absolutely bloated Sunday of baseball, we’ve got a bit more of a toned down Monday as we head into the final week before MLB’s All-Star break. I’m covering the majority of the slate here for predictions and picks at DraftKings Network today, and have already written up Brewers vs. Dodgers and Royals vs. Pirates. Having said that, based on my preliminary research, here are my three favorite baseball bets today surrounding my game predictions and previews. Trevor Story to hit a home run (+290) vs. Colorado Rockies
Trevor Story’s bat is on fire and Coors Field is practically begging for one of his bombs. He’s ripping baseballs left and right, slashing .480 with three homers last week and wrecking lefties with a .776 OPS this season. Story’s elite—he’s at a 111 wRC+ against southpaws—nd now he’s facing Austin Gomber, a soft-tossing lefty who’s given up a .426 wOBA to righties. Gomber’s already coughed up four home runs in just five starts and owns a 5.49 ERA. Every indicator screams that Story will go deep tonight. Fenway Park can be a hitter’s heaven on a night like tonight. Boston’s lineup thrives in big spots and one of its hottest bats meets one of Colorado’s weakest arms. The math is simple: Story’s long ball is coming. I’ve seen matchups just like this blow up before—it’s rare to line up so many factors. The Rockies bullpen is a sieve right now. When you add it all up, this isn’t just a hunch—it’s almost…destiny?
Kyle Stowers to hit a home run (+340) at Cincinnati Reds
Kyle Stowers is locked and loaded for a launch at Great American Ball Park. He’s swinging like a video-game slugger with 16 homers in 2025 and a .280/.352/.514 line. Five of those bombs came in his last 12 games, proving he’s on a tear. Now he faces RHP Brady Singer, who’s been a meat-target: 4.36 ERA, 10 homers allowed this year. Meanwhile Cincinnati’s park is already MLB’s premier launchpad (1.301 HR park factor). Left-handed mashers feast there, and Stowers is about as pure a one as you’ll find. I’ve seen teams get in trouble when Stowers is hot – Reds should be running for cover. Every indicator screams that Stowers will unload tonight. This is a classic match-up: a lefty power hitter in baseball’s most homer-friendly park against a pitcher who leaves pitches up. The ball jumps off Stowers’ bat tonight.
Jose Ramirez to hit a home run (+330) at Houston Astros
Jose Ramirez is primed to go yard tonight against the Astros. He’s been feasting on southpaws with a .344 average and .872 OPS against left-handed pitching this season. That’s elite production – Ramirez turns those pitchers inside-out. Now he faces Colton Gordon, a rookie lefty who’s been nothing short of a batting-practice machine. Gordon has already allowed nine homers in nine appearances, with a 4.37 ERA. This matchup couldn’t be more perfect for Ramirez’s power. I’ve seen this lineup strike for long balls before, and the advanced metrics agree he’s due. This is a classic buy-low scenario. Everyone is down on Jose after a skid, and I’m picking up the pieces. When the best hitter on one team faces one of the worst pitchers on another at home, the pick is obvious. Make no mistake: Ramirez knows how to use the whole field, and he lives for moments like this.
