The New York Mets, who have gone just 3-13 in their last 16 games, will have to wait another day to get back on track, as their game tonight against the Milwaukee Brewers has been postponed due to rain in the New York area.

There will be a double-header tomorrow, per Jon Heyman of the New York Post. The early game will start at 1:10 p.m. ET, with the late game scheduled for 7:10 p.m.

The Mets have dealt with a spate of starting pitching injuries, including Griffin Canning’s torn Achilles tendon last week, but they had been set to start a regular rotation member, Clay Holmes, tonight. The 32-year-old has posted a 2.97 ERA and is tied for the National League lead with eight wins. Barring a change to the rotation, New York will start him in the early game tomorrow, with Blake Tidwell, who has allowed 12 runs in his 10.2 MLB innings so far, set to toe the rubber in the evening matchup.

The Brewers, meanwhile, are set for tomorrow’s double-header with a strong pitching duo. Freddy Peralta was supposed to start tonight and will presumably be pushed back to tomorrow’s 1:10 contest. The 29-year-old Dominican has also picked up eight wins this season and owns a 2.90 ERA, having given up more than three earned runs just once this season. Following him will be young phenom Jacob Misiorowski, who didn’t allow a hit in his first 11 MLB innings and sports a ridiculous 1.13 ERA and 0.625 WHIP through his first three top-level starts.
