Rocket Classic Picks: Best Bets for Final Round Sunday 6/29/25

Updated:

By: Landon Silinsky

We have seen quite the array of fireworks so far at Detroit Golf Club, with tons of players going low. Aldrich Potgieter, who should have won the Mexico Open — is currently in first place alone at 19-under-par after shooting a seven-under 63 on Saturday. There are currently eight players within three shots of the lead, however, which should lead to an exciting finish on Sunday.

Below I detail my two favorite bets for the final round.

Collin Morikawa to finish Top 5 +190

Morikawa lost 4.16 strokes putting in his first round, but has since rebounded, gaining 3.2 strokes over his next two. The good news is that he’s led the entire field on approach through three rounds, gaining 7.2 for the tournament so far. Since his poor first round, Morikawa has shot 64 and 68 to get right back in contention as we head to Sunday.

He’s currently in a three-way tie for 10th place at 15-under par, sitting just two back of T2 and four back of the lead. Morikawa is the best player in this field, and with the way he’s striping his irons it’s hard to envision him moving backwards on Sunday. The players he’s currently chasing are largely unproven, so I will gladly take my chances at almost 2/1 that the No. 5 player in the world moves into the top five.

Jake Knapp over Mark Hubbard -120

Knapp fired a course-record 61 during his second round and then followed that up with a six-under 66 on Saturday. He currently sits T2 and ranks fourth in the field in SG: Tee-to-Green for the week. Hubbard has also been great this week, as he’s tied with Knapp at 17-under while ranking ninth in the field in SG: Tee-to-Green.

However, Knapp has a distinct advantage off-the-tee that Hubbard does not have, and combining that with how red-hot he’s been on the greens, I like him to edge Hubbard in this matchup at -120.
