An exciting Flyweight Championship fight between Alexandre Pantoja and Kai Kara-France is the co-main event of UFC 317 tonight at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Here is my best bet for the co-main event of UFC 317, Pantoja vs. Kai Kara-France.
Kai Kara-France Moneyline (+195)
Kai “Don’t Blink” Kara-France is the latest fighter from City Kickboxing to challenge for UFC gold. If he can beat Pantoja, Kara-France will join teammates Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski as champions of City Kickboxing.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, the champion is a -238 favorite with the challenger being a +195 underdog. Although Kara-France is 1-2 in his previous three fights, he is coming off a devastating knockout against Steve Erceg at UFC 305.
Kara-France presents Pantoja with problems he has not seen during his title reign, one of which is his game-changing power. Flyweights aren’t known for being the most powerful fighters, but Kara-France doesn’t fit that narrative. If Pantoja fails to get this fight to the ground, it heavily favors Kara-France. Because his nickname, “Don’t Blink,” perfectly fits. Kara-France has won three of his last five fights by knockout and is very dangerous on the feet.
Kara-France has an elite takedown defense (88%) and doesn’t allow opponents to get the fight to the mat often. Pantoja has been a great champion and fights with an excellent pace, but the challenger is capable of pulling off the upset.
