Twins vs. Mariners game delayed due to rain Thursday 6/26/25

UPDATE: The game is expected to start at 2:30 p.m. local time, which is 5:30 p.m. ET.

Thursday afternoon’s end-of-series matchup between the Twins and the Seattle Mariners will be delayed due to rain and inclement weather in the Target Field area.

The game was originally scheduled for a 1:10 p.m. EST start, but a new start time is yet to be announced. No players have appeared on the field to warm up, according to beat reporter Bobby Nightengale of the Star Tribune.

The Seattle Mariners (41-38) and Minnesota Twins (38-42) close out their four-game set at Target Field today, and this one carries real stakes. Minnesota finally broke a five-game skid last night with a 2-0 shutout win, but they’ve still dropped 11 of their past 13. Seattle, meanwhile, is still one of the most dangerous road teams in the AL at 26-17 away from home and in the thick of a heated AL West chase. Both clubs hand the ball to soft-tossing right-handers in Emerson Hancock (5.43 ERA, 1.43 WHIP) and Simeon Woods Richardson (5.06 ERA, 1.46 WHIP)
