FIFA Club World Cup: Inter Milan vs. River Plate prediction, pick 6/25/25

Inter Milan and River Plate will face off in their final group game of the FIFA Club World Cup, with both sides in a great position to qualify from Group E. Both teams sit on four points, with River Plate sitting atop the group on goal difference. They are trailed closely by Monterrey, however, so this game is crucial in the fight for the top two spots in the group and qualification to the Round of 16.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, Inter Milan are favorites on the moneyline at +115 odds. River Plate’s moneyline is set at +280, while a draw is available at +210.

Inter Milan vs. River Plate Prediction, Pick

Inter Milan have had a tough couple of weeks. First, they were humiliated in the Champions League Final against PSG. Then, they were held to a shocking 1-1 draw in the opening match of this competition against Monterrey. Things looked to be heading towards rock bottom in the second game against Urawa Reds, but two goals in the last 12 minutes salvaged a 2-1 win for the Italian side. Even a point in this game would put their tournament hopes at severe risk, so this is a must win game for Inter.

On paper, they should wipe the floor with every other team in this group. That hasn’t happened so far of course, but it can only go up from here. This is still the same team that lost out to Napoli on the final day of Serie A for the title and beat Barcelona in an epic Champions League semi-final. There is too much talent on this team to keep performing at the level they have for the last three matches.

Inter Milan needs a get-right game, and what better time to do it than in a game where you can guarantee yourself top spot in the group with three valuable points? At plus money, Inter Milan to win is a great bet.

River Plate hasn’t exactly lit the world on fire in this tournament like some of the other South American teams, and while they could still qualify, I don’t think they have what it takes to get a positive result in this one.

The Pick: Inter Milan Moneyline (+115)
