Summer has arrived, and with it comes the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest. A tradition like no other, in which competitors slam Nathan’s 100% beef products down their gullets at a heroic pace to the awestruck looks of those in attendance.
The field has been announced, including Joey Chestnut, making his return after being banned last season due to a sponsorship situation. DraftKings Sportsbook has already offered several prop bets for how many hot dogs will be consumed ahead of the July 4th contest.
2025 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest Odds

Chestnut is unsurprisingly the leader in the clubhouse with his over/under for hot dogs eaten set at 69.5. His career record in the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest is 76. He has eaten 70 or more hot dogs six times and won the competition 16 of the 17 times he has entered. While he was absent from Nathan’s Contest last year, Chestnut competed in a one-on-one showdown in partnership with Netflix against Takeru Kobayashi. Chestnut scarfed down 83 hot dogs across the 10-minute competition to earn the $100K prize.
In his absence, it was Patrick Bertoletti who won the 2024 edition, eating 58 hot dogs. DraftKings Sportsbook has his over/under set at 48.5 for the 2025 contest.
