The top two sides from Group B in the FIFA Club World Cup will clash on Thursday evening as PSG will take on Botafogo at the Rose Bowl. Both of these teams got off to a good start in the tournament, with PSG beating Atletico Madrid 4-0, and Botafogo beating the Seattle Sounders 2-1. The winner of this game will claim pole position in the group and have one foot in the Round of 16.
PSG vs. Botafogo Prediction, Pick
As you would expect, the French side are huge favorites for this one, and rightly so. In their last two games, they have humiliated two of the biggest clubs in the world. They beat Inter Milan 5-0 in the Champions League final and followed that up with a 4-0 win against Atletico Madrid to start this tournament.
If Botafogo could somehow pull out a result in this one, it would shock the world. Their opening win against Seattle puts them in a great position to potentially qualify in this group, but they will struggle mightily on Thursday against the best team on the planet at the moment.
PSG are -475 on the moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook, and should probably be even bigger favorites given their recent form. Not only have the goals been flying in for the French side, but their defense has been stellar, keeping three consecutive clean sheets going back to a 3-0 win over Reims in the French Cup Final.
I see a similar result in this one, which is why I am taking PSG Win to Zero, which can be found under the “Game Parlays” tab. For this to hit, we simply need PSG to win the game without conceding a goal.
