Updated odds for the Conn Smythe Trophy after Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final

After three games of the Stanley Cup Final, the odds for the Conn Smythe Trophy have changed quite a bit. The Panthers lost Game 1 in OT, and followed that up with an OT win of their own in Game 2 and an absolute thrashing in Game 3, winning 6-1. They now have a 2-1 series lead heading into Game 4.

Despite losing the Stanley Cup Final last season, Connor McDavid played so well that he won the award. As a result, he opened as a commanding +120 favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook. On the other side of things, Florida’s Sam Bennett opened at +3000 to win the award, the fourth-best odds to win the trophy on his own team.

Boy have things changed since then. Bennett opened the series with two goals in the Game 1 loss and has followed that up with a goal in each of the two games since. Four goals in three games is an amazing return, and as a result, he is now the betting favorite to win the Conn Smythe Trophy at +140 odds.

McDavid is still in the mix at +240 but has yet to score in the series. He does however have five assists, which is a big reason why he still has the second-best odds. If the Oilers can overcome the 2-1 series deficit and win the Stanley Cup, McDavid will likely win his second straight Conn Smythe Trophy. If not, it’s Sam Bennett’s to lose.
