Aside from a late collapse in Game 1, the Thunder have looked dominant in the NBA Finals. It’s less than ideal for them to be tied 1-1 heading to Indiana, but they’ve played well through the opening two games.
A major difference between Games 1 and 2 was the play of Chet Holmgren. He was invisible in Game 1, scoring just six points on 2-of-9 shooting. He was much more active in Game 2, scoring 15 points on 6-of-11 from the field.
Naturally, the Thunder play better when Holmgren performs well. Although Oklahoma City is a deep squad, it needs Holmgren to step up to keep the Pacers from taking a 2-1 series lead.

Chet Holmgren under 7.5 rebounds (+110)
While I do expect Holmgren to have a solid Game 3, it won’t be his rebounding that stands out. He’s 7-foot-1, but he’s not the best rebounder. He averaged just eight per game this season, which has gone up to 8.3 in the playoffs.
Yes, he’s averaging more than his rebounding line for Game 3, but he’s been caught under this line in seven straight games. Holmgren hasn’t recorded more than seven rebounds since Game 7 against the Nuggets. He was a monster on the boards that series, posting five games of at least 11 rebounds, with a high of 16.
Holmgren hasn’t been grabbing as many rebounds lately, even with Isaiah Hartenstein coming off the bench against Indiana. He finished with six boards in both Games 1 and 2, indicating a similar output for Game 3.
Furthermore, Holmgren played just 24 and 28 minutes in Games 1 and 2, respectively. He didn’t get into foul trouble, yet the Thunder played stretches without him.
Oklahoma City is a deep squad, so Holmgren could see limited minutes again. The formula worked in Games 1 and 2 despite the Thunder falling late in the first match. The less minutes he plays, the less chances he has to grab rebounds.
