Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Best Prop Bets for Thunder vs. Pacers Game 3

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is off to a historic start to this year’s NBA Finals. No player in NBA Finals history has scored more points in the first two games of a Finals, and SGA will be looking to carry that momentum into Game 3.

Looking at the Game 3 odds, the Thunder enter as 5.5-point favorites with -218 odds on the moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Pacers hold +180 odds of getting the outright victory, with the game total set at 228.5 points.

With the stage set, here is my favorite Shai Gilgeous-Alexander prop bet for the fateful Game 3 matchup.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s props are listed at over/under 33.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 46.5 combined points, rebounds and assists.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 33.5 Points (-120)

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is on a heater right now, so there’s no reason to avoid his over on points in Game 3. He’s gone over this total in each of the first two games of the series, and going back to the Western Conference Finals he has gone over this total in four straight games while averaging 36.5 points per game. SGA will certainly have one eye on the all-time record for most points in a NBA Finals series, which is held by Elgin Baylor with 284 points. Gilgeous-Alexander has a ways to go to get there and would need to average just over 40 points per game over a seven-game series. Although it’s unlikely, it’s not out of the question with a few more high-scoring games.

SGA has definitely been hot in recent games, but the sheer volume he is getting is mind-blowing. Over the last four games, he is averaging 26.5 shot attempts per game. SGA has the volume and the accuracy, converting 47.4% of his FGs in the playoffs. He is almost a sure thing to score 25 on every single night, but given his recent hot stretch, I think it would be foolish to bet on anything other than him going over his points tally once again.
