Pete Alonso More Than 0.5 Home Runs
Pete Alonso is on pace to have one of the best seasons of his career. Alonso has always been a bit of an underrated player. He burst onto the scene with incredible power and became a household name by winning two Home Run Derbys. In 2019, he led the MLB in home runs, and in 2021, he led the MLB in RBIs. He has always been an amazing power hitter, but struggled with his plate discipline. He would go on long stretches where he would strike out multiple times a game and go hitless for long runs. Despite his great power, the Mets were reluctant to sign him to a long-term deal in the offseason. Alonso ultimately decided to come back on a team-friendly deal, and he has been incredible, leading the MLB in RBIs at this point in the season. Tonight, Alonso faces Carson Palmquist. The rookie has just four career starts, the most recent one coming against the Mets a few days ago. In that game, Alonso launched a home run off Palmquist. He will look to do the same tonight in Colorado, and he should get plenty of chances to do so.
Jazz Chisholm Jr. More Than 0.5 Hits
Jazz Chisholm Jr. took a stint on the IL over the past few weeks. Chisholm finally made his return earlier this week, and he has been on fire. Since his return, Chisholm is batting .500 with two home runs and six RBIs. Chisholm will look to ride that hot streak into Saturday night’s game against the Red Sox. He had three hits, including a home run, and four RBIs in the first game of the series on Friday. In this game, Chisholm will be facing the left-hander, Garrett Crochet. Chisholm has a 113 tOPS+ against left-handed starters this season and will look to ride his momentum into this game.
Juan Soto More Than 1.5 Total Bases
Just like Pete Alonso, Juan Soto will be excited to see Rockies rookie starter Carson Palmquist tonight. When the two teams faced off in New York, Soto got on base in three of his four plate appearances, including a home run. Soto has finally gotten hot and is playing like the player the Mets gave a historic contract to. Palmquist has only made one start at Coors Field this season, and he gave up seven runs in 4.1 innings against the Phillies. The Mets should tee off on the Rockies, and Soto will play a key role in that. Soto has been better against lefties this season, with a 116 tOPS+ against left-handed pitching. Over his past seven games, Soto is batting .317 with three home runs, five RBIs and eight runs scored. That includes going 3-of-4 in the first game at Coors Field on Friday. Soto should produce another multi-hit game or an extra-base hit to get over this number on Saturday night.
Gunnar Henderson More Than 1.5 Total Bases
Gunnar Henderson has been starting to find his groove over the past few weeks. The young star finished fourth in AL MVP voting last season and is looking to get his numbers back up to that level. On Saturday night, Henderson will be facing Luis Severino and the Athletics. Henderson has a few matchups against Severino in his career and has almost always come out on top. He is 5-of-6 with a double and a home run in his career against Severino. Henderson has smashed right-handed pitching in general this season, with a 146 tOPS+ against right-handers. Meanwhile, Severino is coming off a terrible start in his last time out. He gave up eight runs against the Twins in 5.1 innings of action. He has also allowed a 118 tOPS+ to left-handed batters this season. Henderson should be able to pick up an extra-base hit and get more than 1.5 total bases.
Kyle Schwarber More Than 1.5 Total Bases
Kyle Schwarber is having another monster season in Philadelphia. He leads the Phillies in home runs, RBIs and runs scored. He has a .931 OPS, by far the best mark on the team. Over the past week, he is batting .320 with four RBIs in six games. He should carry that momentum into today’s game against the Pirates. Andrew Heaney has struggled against left-handed batters this season. He is allowing a 131 tOPS+ to left-handed batters this season. Meanwhile, Schwarber has been great against left-handed pitching this season. He has a 131 tOPS+ against left-handed pitchers this season. The Pirates also have a bottom-10 bullpen, so even if Schwarber needs a late-inning hit to get over this number, he will still have a great chance to do so.
Teoscar Hernandez More Than 1.5 Total Bases
Teoscar Hernandez is in a bit of a slump, but his season numbers are still solid. Hernandez’s counting stats are on pace to be nearly identical to his All-Star season in 2024. Despite his slump, Hernandez will be happy to see Erick Fedde on the mound. It could be just what he needs to break out of his funk and get some big hits. Hernandez is 3-of-6 with two home runs in his career against Fedde. Fedde has been struggling as of late, sporting a 5.06 ERA across his past three starts. He has also struggled in St. Louis all season, with a 5.20 ERA in home games. Hernandez should be able to produce an extra-base hit against Fedde and get his season back on track.

Enter an Amount
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
