After Thursday’s first round of the RBC Canadian Open, the field is looking up at two golfers atop the leaderboard: Thorbjorn Olesen ($8,700; 68.5 FPTS) and Cristobal Del Solar ($6,200; 66 FPTS).
Olesen started off the day with a birdie on the first hole. His only blemish was a bogey two holes later. After that, it was all sunshine and unicorns. Olesen closed the front nine with two more birdies and an eagle on the last hole. After notching a birdie on the first hole of the back nine, Olesen racked up another birdie three holes later, then had a three-birdie streak on Holes 6, 7 and 8. He finished the day -9 (61).
Del Solar also birdied the first holes of both the front and back nine. He had two three-birdie streaks on Holes 5, 6 and 7 and on Holes 10, 11 and 12. He closed out the front nine with another birdie and racked up two more at the end of the back nine. However, a bogey on Hole 17 prohibited the unblemished round. Del Solar also finished -9 (61).
In the $700K Summer Sand Trap tournament, Olesen is rostered on 6.66% of teams. Del Solar is on only 0.4%.
DraftKings Sportsbook has Olesen as the favorite to win it all at +450. He is -250 to finish Top 10. Del Solar is +3000 to win it all and +210 to finish Top 10.
The most rostered golfer is Rory McIlroy ($11,900; 15.5 FPTS) at 33.25%
He did not have a good day, racking up two bogeys before closing out the front nine with a birdie. The back nine started off well with two birdies on the first two holes, but he closed out the round with two bogeys on the final two holes. He finished the day +1 (71).
McIlroy is +5000 to win it all and +360 to finish Top 10.
After Thursday’s opening round, Data Golf has a -3 cutline at 37.8%.

Camilo Villegas ($6,200; 13 FPTS) is rostered on 0.2% of teams. He shot a +1 (71) on Thursday. He has now withdrawn from the tournament.
