The Stanley Cup Final begins on Wednesday, June 4 and DraftKings Sportsbook has you covered with a sweet profit boost promotion for the action. It’s simple––following opt-in, you will be issued with one single-use 33% profit boost token. Then, you craft your Same Game Parlay (SGP), which must be at least three legs with odds of at least +300 or longer.
With this series featuring plenty of superstar talent, it should be easy to find some valuable player prop bets to get us above the +300 odd threshold. See below for my favorite SGP for Oilers vs. Panthers Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.
Oilers vs. Panthers Game 1 Same Game Parlay
- Connor McDavid 3+ Shots on Goal
- Mattias Ekholm 2+ Blocked Shots
- Aleksander Barkov 1+ Point
Connor McDavid 3+ Shots on Goal
It’d be foolish to fade the best player in this series in Game 1 on his home ice. McDavid has cleared three shots on goal in all but three games and 6-of-7 home games this postseason. Florida will likely limit Edmonton’s offensive attack much better than any of its previous opponents could thanks to its disciplined play style. However, it has still allowed the third-most shots per game to opposing centers this postseason. If the Oilers are struggling offensively at any point, I’d be willing to bet that McDavid is the catalyst that gets them going by putting shots on net and creating chances for his teammates.
Mattias Ekholm 2+ Blocked Shots
The return of Ekholm to the Oilers’ first defensive pairing is perhaps the most significant development in this series and for the Oilers’ chances of getting revenge over the Panthers. The 35-year-old defenseman finally returned to the lineup in Game 5 against the Stars, logging an assist, two blocked shots, and 15:52 time on ice. This series is going to be incredibly physical with the Panthers and Oilers ranking first and third, respectively, in penalty minutes this postseason. Ekholm blocked two shots in his first game in months and with the additional rest, I expect him to return to his usual form and record 20+ minutes of ice time. He has cleared this line in six straight games against the Panthers, too.
Aleksander Barkov 1+ Point
You could make this 1+ assist instead for even juicier odds but to be safe, we’ll stick with the point. Barkov is Florida’s superstar and the 2025 Frank J. Selke Trophy Winner will have his hands full in defending the strong duo of McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. Aside from the obvious defensive impact, the Finnish center leads the Panthers in points (17) and is tied with Matthew Tkachuk for the most assists (11). He should continue to be a strong playmaker for his teammates, having recorded a point in all but four games this postseason and ranking second on the team among forwards in time on ice per game. This gets us over the +300 odd threshold, and Barkov has multiple ways to record a point in Game 1.
