The 2025 NBA Draft will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on June 25th at 8:00 PM EST. The Dallas Mavericks have the first overall pick after winning the NBA Draft Lottery a few weeks ago. On DraftKings Sportsbook, you can bet on who will be the top pick and below are the current odds for this market as of Monday, June 2nd.

Unsurprisingly, Flagg is the unanimous favorite with -20000 odds. After Flagg, every player carries +5000 odds or longer to be selected first overall. While these long odds on these players are appealing, none of these players are worth considering in this betting market as Flagg being selected first overall is a foregone conclusion.

Flagg deserves these odds after being college basketball’s best player last season and one of the best prospects we have seen over the last decade. In his lone season at Duke last year, Flagg averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.4 blocks per game. Flagg won six awards, including the Naismith College Player of the Year award and he led the Blue Devils to the Final Four, in which Duke nearly defeated Houston to advance to the National Championship. Flagg is an extremely versatile wing who naturally makes his teammates better. He should be a very impactful NBA player right out of the gate and a threat to be an All-Star in his first NBA season.

With Flagg a lock to go first overall, he will be joining the Dallas Mavericks next season unless the team trades away that pick in a blockbuster deal, which feels unlikely. After tearing his ACL late last season, Kyrie Irving likely will be out for the Mavericks for most of next season and with the point guard missing, Flagg should see a huge role instantly. The 18-year-old stands at 6-foot-9 and played small forward at Duke, but with Irving out, Flagg should operate as one of Dallas’ main ball handlers, putting him in prime position to produce great numbers as a rookie.
