The Conn Smythe Trophy goes to the player who is considered most valuable to his team throughout the playoffs, and there is nobody more valuable to his team than McDavid. At the start of the postseason, he opened at +1200 odds and is now all the way down to +120 odds with 10% of the bets and 17% of the money on DraftKings Sportsbook. It’s hard to imagine him not securing his second straight Conn Smythe, especially if the Oilers get their revenge and win their first Cup in the McDavid era. Sam Bennett––2025 Conn Smythe Trophy Winner (+3000)
The 30-1 odds are staring right at me and I have a hard time saying no. There are three other Panthers listed ahead of Sam Bennett in terms of odds––Sergei Bobrovsky (+250), Aleksander Barkov (+550) and Matthew Tkachuk (+1800). Goaltenders rarely receive the nod over skaters for the Conn Smythe Trophy, and Bennett has been just as productive as both Barkov and Tkachuk, ranking second on the team in points (16) and first in goals (10). In fact, he leads all players in goals this postseason, and is coming off a strong series against Carolina in which he netted four goals in five games.
