DraftKings WNBA Pick6 Fantasy Basketball Picks: Top Plays for Thursday 5/29/25

Two games are scheduled across Thursday’s WNBA slate. The action will kick off at 7:00 p.m. ET as the Valkyries play the Liberty. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!

This article will examine my top Pick6 plays for today’s action, 5/29/25. You simply choose whether each set statistic will be more or less than the set number. With the stage set, here are my favorite picks on the WNBA slate.

Paige Bueckers More Than 26.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Through five games of her rookie season, the No. 1 pick is averaging 25.4 combined points + rebounds + assists. Tuesday’s game against the Connecticut Sun set a high-water mark with 33 total P/R/A. Now she’s facing a defense more aloof than the Sun.

Outside of Ariel Atkins, the Chicago Sky has little perimeter defense talent. Containing Bueckers and Arike Ogunbowale is a tall task for any team. That backcourt talent completely overmatches Chicago. Bueckers is due for her second straight excellent game against a winless team. Even if this one takes a turn down Blowout Avenue, she will get hers.

Sabrina Ionescu More Than 24.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Speaking of due for a breakout, Sabrina Ionescu has been below her standards to start this season. The three-time All-Star is averaging just 23.4 combined P/R/A through four games. New York has won all four contests, so nobody is complaining. But I’m sure Ionescu is expecting better.

This season’s initial decrease in usage makes sense, given that Natasha Cloud (more on her soon) has joined the backcourt. But the shooting slump is unusual for the perennial MVP contender. She’s shooting 25% on her six three-point attempts per game, which is by far a career low. It has to break sometime soon. Against a Valkyries defense that was decimated by these same Liberty on Tuesday, it’s time for Sab to put up some numbers.

Natasha Cloud More Than 12.5 Points

Boy, has Natasha Cloud hit the ground running in New York. The 33-year-old is averaging 15.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 8.3 assists in addition to 3.3 stocks (steals+blocks). All four marks would be career highs. As the fourth starter next to the Ionescu-Breanna Stewart-Jonquel Jones star trio, she’s fitting like a glove.

But Tuesday’s contest against the Valkyries was her roughest scoring night. Cloud recorded five points on 2-of-9 shooting, though she dished out 10 assists. This Valkyries defense has energy, plays well, and won’t roll over. But with this Liberty team, you have to pick your poison. Cloud has been the poison of choice all year for opposing defenses and will have plenty of opportunities to clear this mark.

What is DraftKings Pick6?

Pick6 is a peer-to-peer fantasy variant where you build a lineup (your “Pick Set”) of 2+ players and select whether or not you believe each will outperform their listed stat projection. Enter your Pick Set in Pick6 contests to compete against other users. Get enough picks correct and win a share of cash prizes.

How to Play

Create a Pick Set

Create a Pick Set by choosing 2+ players from the same sport and Pick Group (a set of picks available from a group of set competitions). For each player, simply select if you think they’ll have more or less than their listed stat projection. In each Pick Set, you can not pick the same player twice and you must pick players from at least two different teams.

Enter an Amount

Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.

Sweat Your Picks

When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.

Compete for Prizes

Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
