The 2024 NFL Draft begins with the first round on Thursday, April 25, and we’ll get the rest the next two days. The Chicago Bears selected USC QB Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft on Thursday night in Detroit. Williams is expected to be one of many QBs taken in the first round and throughout the seven rounds in the draft. There’s also a fair amount of trade rumors swirling around and we’ll be tracking all the latest deals from the draft involving players and picks.
One of the teams who could make a big move on draft night is the San Francisco 49ers. Reports are saying the Niners are willing to move one of their top WRs — either Brandon Aiyuk or Deebo Samuel. That move could be in order to move up in the first round. Aiyuk is due for a big extension after a breakout season. Samuel is aging and could be replaced by in a deep receiver class in 2024.

Update, 10:04 p.m. ET — The Vikings are trading up again, this time to the No. 17 pick with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Here’s a look at the details via Field Yates of ESPN. Minnesota is trading up to take Alabama OLB Dallas Turner.
The Vikigns have traded up to pick 17 for 23, 167, a 2025 3rd and 2025 4th.

Update, 9:12 p.m. ET — We have our first trade of the first round. The New York Jets are moving down and the Minnesota Vikings are moving up one spot. The Vikings get the No. 10 pick and a 2024 sixth-round pick. The Jets get the No. 11 pick and a fourth and fifth rounder in 2024. The Vikings made the move to go up and select Michigan QB J.J. McCarthy with the No. 10 pick.
