Nesmith has hit this scoring mark 10 times out of the 13 games he has appeared in the playoffs. This postseason, Nesmith has three games with under 10 points. But in the following game, he has recorded 12-plus points each time. Nesmith had an off-shooting night in Game 3, going 2-8 from the field. He went 25 percent from the field, his worst shooting percentage in over three months.
Nesmith is fourth on the Pacers in scoring but showed in Game 1 that he has the potential to lead the Pacers if he gets hot. As a team, Indiana only scored 100 points in Game 3, the first time since February 4 that they didn’t reach 100. It seems like Game 3 was an outlier, and with the Pacers and Knicks, it is unlikely another low-scoring game will happen. With the Pacers playing at home after a loss, it is an excellent spot for Nesmith to bounce back and provide a scoring spark.
