Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder are inevitable. For the second straight game, things were fairly close in the first half. OKC led by 8 points at halftime… and then the third quarter happened. Once again the Thunder came out of halftime on fire, winning the third quarter 35-21. From there it was game over, as they led by 22 points entering the fourth.
The newly crowned MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander showed why he won the award, dropping 38 points while going 12-of-21 from the field. He and the Thunder are now two wins away from the NBA Finals. The series will move to Minnesota for Game 3, and it’s a must-win for the Timberwolves to avoid a 3-0 series deficit.
