Crawford last fought at super welterweight and will move up 14 pounds to challenge the 168-pound king. Canelo beat William Scull by unanimous decision in his last fight on May 3.

Crawford beat Israil Madrimov in his last fight in August 2024. In his professional boxing career, Crawford is 41-0 with 31 knockouts and is highly regarded as one of the top three pound-for-pound boxers in the world. Canelo is 63-2-2 and although he has 39 career knockouts, his last six victories have come by decision.
It is interesting to see Canelo less than a -200 favorite, as that usually is not the case. But even though Crawford hasn’t fought at this weight class, he is taller by half an inch (5’8″ vs. 5’7.5″) while having a larger standing reach (74″ vs. 70.5″). This is a dream matchup between two all-time great boxers.
