Journalism beat Gosger to win the 150th Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland. Journalism was the favorite before the event at 8/5. The team of Journalism includes trainer Michael McCarthy and jockey Umberto Rispoli. Journalism was the favorite at the 2025 Kentucky Derby but came up short.

Gosger, Sandman, Goal Oriente, and Heart of Honor finished behind Journalism at the 2025 Preakness Stakes. This was the last Preakness Stakes that will take place at the current Pimlico Race Course.
