Even more concerning, the potential return of the future Hall-of-Famer is dependent on the team holding things down without him. Golden State has looked like a shell of itself without Curry, losing all three games by a combined margin of 336-290 since Curry has been shut down.
The Warriors enter into a potential closeout game in Minnesota tonight as 10.5-point underdogs and +370 on the moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. The series price has also shifted in a major way, with Minnesota favored at -4000 odds and the Warriors holding +1600 odds of advancing on DraftKings Sportsbook entering tonight’s game.
Game 6 was listed as the target return date since the injury first occurred, and Curry will undergo a full re-evaluation ahead of this matchup. However, the Warriors must push the series to this point for that to be possible, and it will take a heroic effort from Jimmy Butler and the rest of the supporting cast for this to be the case. Golden State does have the advantage of Game 6 not being scheduled until Sunday, but that does not matter if it does not get a good result tonight.
