With UFC 315 in the books, the promotion returns to its home base, the UFC Apex. Former title challenger No. 8 Gilbert Burns takes on rising star No. 12 Michael Morales in a five-round welterweight bout with big stakes attached.
At 38, Burns’ UFC career is coming to an end, and his demanding schedule continues on Saturday. Since 2021, Burns is 3-5 and has suffered three straight losses for the first time in his career. His latest victory came at UFC 287 in April 2023 against Jorge Masvidal. Although Morales is 25 and doesn’t have as big of a name as his past opponents, he could be just as dangerous.
Morales enters his first five-round UFC main event fight against Burns as a massive -600 favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook. In his MMA career, Morales is 17-0 with 13 finishes. The most significant victory of his career came against Neil Magny in August 2024. Morales joins Marlon “Chito” Vera as the two best Ecuadorian fighters in the UFC.
Rodolfo Bellato gets the most significant career opportunity when he faces Paul Craig in the co-main event. Craig is riding a three-fight losing streak and hasn’t won a fight since June 2023. This is Craig’s first fight at light heavyweight since January 2023. Bellato is coming off a draw against Jimmy Crute at UFC 312 in February 2025. In this contest, Bellato, who is eight years younger, is the favorite at -330.
The third fight from the top features a featherweight contest between Sodiq Yusuff and Mairon Santos. Yusuff is trying to avoid three losses in a row for the first time in his career. Santos, the Xtreme Couture product, is 16-1 and 2-0 in the UFC. Santos is 148, while Yusuff is the betting underdog at +124 on DraftKings Sportsbook.
