UPDATE: Edwards is questionable to return with an ankle injury.
Midway through the second quarter of Thursday’s Game 2 against the Golden State Warriors, Anthony Edwards went up for a layup down the middle of the lane. Unfortunately, as he landed, a Warriors defender stepped on his left ankle.
Edwards was on the ground clutching his ankle before he was helped off into the locker room. He was eventually able to walk on his own power, but with a significant limp.
Prior to exiting, Edwards contributed seven points, four rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block.
Jaden McDaniels was the direct substitute for Edwards.
With Edwards off the court, Julius Randle should see the biggest uptick in usage rate.
