What happened to Hunter Greene? Live injury updates for Reds vs. Braves 5/7/25

UPDATE: Hunter Greene suffered a Grade 1 groin strain. However, the former second-overall pick will not yet be placed on the IL.

UPDATE: The Reds confirm that Greene left tonight’s game due to a right groin injury.

After pitching three innings in Wednesday’s game vs. the Braves, P Hunter Greene has left the game with an injury. Per Reds beat writer Lance McAlister, it appears to be a groin injury.

Greene had given up two hits but zero runs in those three innings before exiting. He was replaced by Brent Suter.
