Jimmy Butler Best Prop Bet for Warriors vs. Timberwolves Game 1 on Tuesday 5/6/25

On Sunday, the Golden State Warriors beat the Houston Rockets by 15 points in Game 7 of the first round. With only one day off, the Warriors will face the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight at 9:30 p.m. ET in the first game of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Golden State’s second-best player, Jimmy Butler, or as he is known during this time of the year, “Playoff Jimmy,” has had a good postseason. He totaled 20 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists in Game 7. Here is my favorite prop bet for Butler against his former team tonight.

Jimmy Butler over 34.5 PRB (-110)

In the five full games Butler played during the first round, he averaged 21.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. Although he isn’t scoring 27 per game in the postseason as he did in Miami, Butler has shown he still has an elite scoring touch if needed.

Butler has affected the game in many areas with the Warriors, including defense, passing, and rebounding. That is why getting Butler over in points, rebounds, and assists at 34.5, which is -110 on DraftKings Sportsbook, is a great value play. Butler exceeded that total in two straight and four of his previous five complete games.

This matchup with Minnesota will provide Butler with extra fuel and motivation, as he was on the Timberwolves from 2017 to 2019. In two of Butler’s last four games against Minnesota, he scored 25 and 30 points. Yes, the Warriors may be tired with limited rest. But if anyone can dig deep and find a different level to tap into, it’s Playoff Jimmy.
