What happened to Teoscar Hernandez? Live injury updates for Dodgers vs. Diamondbacks 5/19/25

UPDATE: Hernandez has been activated off the injured list and is batting fifth while playing right field.

Dodgers OF Teoscar Hernandez ($5,300) was having himself quite the Monday evening, as he hit a single, a double and drove in run. Unfortunately, he was replaced by Chris Tayor ($2,000) in the fourth inning due to hamstring tightness.

There’s been no mention of when the injury occurred or the severity of it.

In 134 plate appearances, Hernandez hit nine home runs, stole four bases, scored 21 runs and drove in 33. He is slashing .305/.323/.586 with a 3% walk rate, 18.7% strikeout rate and a whopping .281 ISO. He was batting third of fourth in the lineup.

The Dodgers are deep, but losing Hernandez is a big blow, especially with Tommy Edman on the injured list.

Enrique Hernandez and Taylor will likely handle right field duties for as long as Hernandez is out.
