Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors at Houston Rockets ($9,400) — It’s Game 7. Pick the heroes. This is Curry’s game. The road to Round 2 runs through Curry. He’s going to be chucking. He’s going to be driving. He’s not coming off of the court. Curry provides maximum usage and minutes. The Curry fade makes sense from a DFS game theory approach perspective but it doesn’t square with reality. In theory, Curry could run cold from behind the three-point line. In reality, Curry flirts with double-digit 3-pointers in a win-or-go-home game.

Ty Jerome, Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Indiana Pacers ($5,000) — It’s been a while since the Cavaliers were last in action. It’s easy to forget about Jerome. The Cavs’ sixth man was excellent in the first round. He closed the season on a heater, but those games were meaningless. Still, regardless of circumstance, all that matters is that the ball goes in the basket. He is scoring. He scored over 30 FPTS in three out of four games in the first round.

Jimmy Butler, Golden State Warriors at Houston Rockets ($8,400) — The old guard and new blood will close out Round 1 of the 2025 NBA Playoffs on Sunday. The upstart Rockets are the higher seed, but the Warriors are veterans. Butler and crew have been here before. The Warriors are warriors. This isn’t their first war. Golden State’s stars have extensive playoff experience. They know what it takes to win a Game 7. Butler can put a team on his back even if his back is cracked. He has scored over 48 FPTS in four out of five full playoff games this postseason.

Dillon Brooks, Houston Rockets vs. Golden State Warriors ($4,500) — Boom-or-bust, Dillon Brooks is a decisive pick on Sunday. He’s a villain. He’s hated by fans. He’s hated by players. Everyone is buddy-buddy in the modern NBA. Brooks is a throwback to the late ’80s. Brooks runs too hard in the regular season. How will he run in a Game 7? The Rockets avoided elimination in Games 5 and 6. The Rockets will need 30 minutes from Brooks to keep the Warriors’ stars in check in Game 7.

Jarrett Allen, Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Indiana Pacers ($6,500) — This isn’t a flashy pick. Every DFS NBA pick doesn’t need to be intriguing. There doesn’t have to be a narrative. Some picks are safe and solid. Allen provides a stable floor with possible upside. In the two blowouts that closed out the Cavs’ Round 1 sweep of the Heat, Allen scored 37 and 45.4 FPTS in under 26 minutes in each game.

Steven Adams, Houston Rockets vs. Golden State Warriors ($3,800) — This is the go-to NBA DFS value pick for Round 1. Adams has scored over 20 FPTS in four out of six games in this series. His best performance was in Game 6, scoring 31.3 FPTS in 31 minutes. The Rockets can exploit the Warriors’ frontcourt with aggressive play in the paint. Adams provides that aggression on both ends.
