12:24 a.m. ET: Canelo Alvarez defeats William Scull by unanimous decision (115-113, 116-112, 119-109)

Canelo is now a two-time Undisputed Super Middleweight Champion. For the sixth straight fight, he won by decision. This victory was clear for Canelo, as he controlled most of the contest. Even though Canelo was the more aggressive fighter in the fight, it was not one of his best performances.

12:18 a.m. ET: Canelo vs. Scull – Round 12

Both fighters seemed content to go the distance. In the final minute of the 12th round, Canelo landed a nice combination. Overall, this was a lackluster fight from both competitors, but Canelo landed the better punches throughout.

I have Canelo winning the fight 118-110.

12:14 a.m. ET: Canelo vs. Scull – Round 11

Canelo landed a few more body shots on Scull, but this was another round in which both fighters failed to produce a high output. This was a very close round, but Canelo landed the better punches—three more minutes to decide an Undisputed 168-pound Champion.

10-9 Canelo, 108-101 Canelo

12:09 a.m. ET: Canelo vs. Scull – Round 10

Scull still can not figure out the perfect timing to impact Canelo. Halfway through the round, Canelo landed a clean right hand. Once again, Scull’s activity has decreased. We now head to the championship rounds.

10-9 Canelo, 98-92 Canelo

12:05 a.m. ET: Canelo vs. Scull – Round 9

The ref warned Canelo about a low blow at the beginning of the round. Canelo is landing body shots, and Scull is smiling. Scull has only landed four power punches through nine rounds of the fight. Scull continues to complain about Canelo’s punches to the body.

10-9 Canelo, 88-83 Canelo

12:01 a.m. ET: Canelo vs. Scull – Round 8

Scull started this round as the more active fighter. He started putting together more combinations throughout the entire round. Canelo didn’t land many punches in the eighth round.

10-9 Scull, 78-74 Canelo

11:58 p.m. ET: Canelo vs. Scull – Round 7

Scull was slightly more active at the start of the round but didn’t do enough. Canelo has landed 16 more power punches than Scull in this fight. Scull is moving around a lot but isn’t throwing many punches anymore.

10-9 Canelo, 69-64 Canelo

11:54 p.m. ET: Canelo vs. Scull – Round 6

Scull landed a big uppercut to open the round, but Canelo responded again to the body. Canelo has made it a priority to go to the body often in this bout. Even though Scull landed a few punches, Canelo is landing all of the significant shots.

10-9 Canelo, 59-55 Canelo

11:50 p.m. ET: Canelo vs. Scull – Round 5

Canelo landed a few big punches this round. Although Scull has had a higher output this fight, Canelo is still making an impact while being more efficient.

10-9 Canelo, 49-46 Canelo

11:46 p.m. ET: Canelo vs. Scull – Round 4

Scull is trying to move around and make Canelo bring the fight towards him. But Canelo is staying calm and not biting on Scull’s attempts. This changed later on as this was Scull’s best round, as he was the aggressor and landed the bigger punches.

10-9 Scull, 39-37 Canelo

11:42 p.m. ET: Canelo vs. Scull – Round 3

Canelo started the round with a big body shot to Scull. During the third round, Canelo was still dictating the pace of the contest. Scull has been moving backwards the whole fight. This round, Scull was trying to gain Canelo’s respect, but it doesn’t seem that his punches have affected him.

10-9, 30-27 Canelo

11:37 p.m. ET: Canelo vs. Scull – Round 2

Canelo has been selective with his punches but landed a big combination at the beginning of the round. Scull moves around a lot but can not put together any meaningful offense. At the end of the round, Scull lands a combination, but Canelo is still the more active fighter.

10-9, 20-18 Canelo

11:33 p.m. ET: Canelo vs. Scull – Round 1

Both fighters got off to a slow start, with Canelo landing the biggest punch of the round. Canelo is typically a slow starter, and he will most likely pick up the pace throughout the contest.

10-9, Canelo

11:06 p.m. ET: Badou Jack defeats Norair Mikaeljan by majority decision (114-114, 115-113 x 2)

Badou Jack wins his first fight in 14 months against Norair Mikaeljan. This is Jack’s seventh straight victory. Jack retains his WBC Cruiserweight Championship. Mikaeljan landed 31 more punches while having the edge in the power department (106 vs. 89) as well.

Both fighters started this bout slowly, with Jack showing ring rust. This is Jack’s first fight since February 2023. Mikaeljan did a better job of being active in each round during this contest. Throughout the first 10 rounds, Jack and Mikaeljan went toe-to-toe, and it was a very close fight. Each time Mikaeljan landed, Jack bounced back with an effective punch.

This was a tough fight for the judges to score as neither fighter had much separation. Jack appeared to be the fresher fighter heading into the final round. Especially since this was Jack’s first fight in a while, he put on a good performance.

The main event between Canelo and Scull is next! Will Canelo become a two-time Undisputed Super Middleweight Champion, or can Scull shock the world?

9:52 p.m. ET: Jaime Munguia defeats Bruno Surace by unanimous decision (116-112, 117-111 x 2)

This was a rematch of a fight between Bruno Surace and Jaime Munguia that initially took place in December 2024. Surace won the first contest via a sixth-round knockout. Five months later, Munguia avenges his loss to Surace. Munguia landed 39 more total punches and 42 more power punches than Surace.

Bruno Surace began the fight as the more aggressive fighter, but Jaime Munguia seemed more calculated. As the fight continued, Munguia started to put together good combinations that got through to Surace. Even though Munguia entered this fight as a heavy favorite, like he did in their first fight, Surace proved early on that he is a legit competitor.

Munguia ended the seventh round with his best combination of the fight. The longer the fight lasted, Munguia kept closing the distance and landing big punches on Surace. The crowd was heavily cheering for Munguia throughout the contest. In the second half of the fight, Surace’s offense disappeared, and he failed to land anything significant.

8:44 p.m. ET: Martin Bakole vs. Efe Ajagba ends via Majority Draw (96-94 Ajagba, 95-95 x 2)

The heavyweight bout between Martin Bakole vs. Efe Ajagba ended as a majority draw. Ajagba landed 45 more total punches while totaling two more power punches than Bakole.

Bakole started the fight slowly again but picked up the pace in the third round. Efe Ajagba was the aggressor during the first two rounds of the contest. Ajagba’s speed and quick punches were the difference in this bout.

Neither fighter performed well on defense, as each competitor landed big punches. Ajagba stood still in the fourth round, allowing Bakole to land big uppercuts and hooks. Bakole doesn’t have the quickest hands, but when he lands, it hurts opponents. After four rounds, Bakole seemed like the fresher fighter.

The tables turned in the fifth round, as Ajagba pushed the pace and attacked Bakole. Although Bakole had moments, he failed to combine multiple combinations to maintain momentum, and he started to become frustrated in the later rounds of this fight. Ajagba won most of the early rounds, but Bakole was more aggressive in the last few.
