There are four games Saturday as the 2024 NBA Playoffs continue, with two series heading to Game 4 while two others get set for Game 3. There’s a possibility for the Nuggets to advance out of the first round when they meet the Lakers in primetime as the defending champions look for yet another sweep of LA.
Here’s a look at some of our favorite player props for the day’s action, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Paolo Banchero over 24.5 points vs. Cavaliers (-108)
The Magic star has gone over this mark just once, but did manage 24 points in the series opener. He’s coming off a 31-point showing in Game 3 where he went 50% from the floor and hit four three-point shots as well. Banchero should continue to see the bulk of the usage in Orlando’s offense, and the Game 3 explosion will give this team confidence it can continue to get the better of Cleveland’s defense. Banchero had a strong scoring surge to close out the regular season and it has continued in the playoffs. I think he goes over this mark in Game 4.
Chet Holmgren over 2.5 blocks vs. Pelicans (+114)
The Thunder big man had five rejections in Game 1 before managing just two in Game 2. The opportunities have been there for Holmgren, who continues to hold his own in the middle despite some physical disadvantages. Oklahoma City’s defense has been on point this series and that’s largely due to Holmgren’s ability to impact shots at the rim. I think he manages to get at least three blocks as the Thunder try to go up 3-0 in the series.
Jayson Tatum 4+ 3-pointers vs. Heat (+170)
Tatum has gone under this line in every game against Miami so far this season but at some point, the triples are going to start cashing for the Celtics forward. He has attempted 14 shots from deep through two games and only seen three go down but that’s not going to stop him from chucking. In last year’s conference finals, Tatum hit four triples in Game 4 to avoid a sweep. This is a massive Game 3 for Boston, who unexpectedly dropped Game 2 at home. I think Tatum sees a few triples go down early and keeps firing, leading to a big night for the Celtics star.
LeBron James over 43.5 points + rebounds + assists vs. Nuggets (-112)
Backing the King to record a triple-double (+550) might be a bit too ambitious, but James should be able to surpass this line as his Lakers try to avoid a sweep. The star forward usually shows up in big games, although it might not matter against this particular opponent. In last year’s Game 4, James had 40 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists in a loss. He’s averaging 26.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 9.7 assists per game in this series so far, putting him right below this line. I see James rising to the occasion in Game 4 individually and topping this line, although it might not prevent LA from getting eliminated.
