Cole Ragans injury update: Thursday 4/24/25

Cole Ragans left Game 1 of a doubleheader against the Rockies due to groin tightness.

The left hander threw 3.0 innings, allowing four earned runs on three hits, two walks and two home runs. He struck out four in 62 pitches before leaving.

It was a tough outing for the All-Star starter, but it’s unknown when his groin began affecting him. The Royals trailed 4-2 after the top of the third, but they tied the game in the bottom half.

Kansas City ultimately won the game 7-4 and has Game 2 of the doubleheader at 5:10 p.m. ET tonight.
