2025 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs: Jets vs. Blues Game 3 prediction, pick

The Jets took care of business in their first two home games but now must travel to St. Louis for Game 3 against the Blues. The Blues find themselves as +100 home underdogs on the Moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. The game total is set at O/U 5.5 goals. The goaltender matchup will be the same as it was in the first two games––Connor Hellebuyck vs. Jordan Binnington.

Below, I’ve provided a quick preview and best bet on DraftKings Sportsbook for tonight’s Game 3 matchup between the Jets and Blues.

Jets vs. Blues Game 3 preview, prediction

Although they are down 0-2 in the series, the Blues have matched up quite well with the Jets. Game 1 featured eight goals but Game 2 showcased two top defenses going at it. Both Binnington and Hellebuyck faced 22 shots each but Kyle Connor netted the game-winning goal only a few minutes into the third period. Connor has three goals and five points in two games for the Jets and it’s clear that the Blues have struggled to match the offensive firepower.

Coming into the postseason, the Blues were one of the hottest teams in the league. They had posted a 19-4-3 record since the 4 Nations break, averaging the most goals per game and second-fewest goals per game in that span. Binnington is capable of outplaying Hellebuyck, too. St. Louis lost the first two games due to a lack of offense and failure to limit both Connor and Mark Scheifele.

The series has shifted to St. Louis now. This is where the series gets good because the Blues have not lost at home since Feb. 23. The team has won a franchise-record 12 straight times, which is the longest streak in the NHL this season. Take a guess which team was the last team to beat the Blues at home––yes, the Jets, in an overtime win one day before the winning streak began. Plus, Binnington has been much better in front of his home crowd.

Jets vs. Blues Game 3 pick, best bet

Winnipeg deserves its flowers because it did win the Presidents’ Trophy and has been a force all season. But, we’re all aware of its usual postseason woes. Game 2 was very close and I’d be willing to bet that Blues fans will play a big part in tonight’s matchup. St. Louis has been simply unstoppable at home since February and the stakes couldn’t be higher. Going down 0-3 in the playoffs is the riskiest business to get into in professional sports and the Blues will do everything to avoid it.

Best Bet: STL Blues Moneyline (+100)
