The Pistons evened the series 1-1 at Madison Square Garden on Monday night, and they now have the comfort of their home arena for Games 3 and 4.
Detroit led for the majority of the game outside of a few instances in the first quarter. The Knicks needed some fourth-quarter heroics again, like the 21-0 run in Game 1, in order to overcome the deficit. While they almost pulled off the win, a few missed shots down the stretch was enough for Detroit to hold on.
The Knicks are one-point favorites on the road, and the game total is set at 213.5 points on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Karl-Anthony Towns over 1.5 made three-pointers (+105)
Towns’ second half performance in Game 2 was a disappointment. He attempted just three shots and didn’t record a single point. He was clearly under-utilized, and it hurt the Knicks.
He was more impactful in Game 1, but the Pistons defensive game plan is forcing Towns inside the arc. Tobias Harris is Towns’ primary defender rather than Jalen Duren. It allows Detroit to keep its rim protector in the paint while having a mobile forward on the perimeter guarding Towns.
As a result, Towns has made just one three-pointer in two playoff games, shooting 1-of-5 overall. The attempts are concerning because it shows that he’s focusing more on driving against a smaller defender.
While it’s a good idea to attack the rim with a size advantage, Towns isn’t overpowering Harris in the post. He’s a finesse player that made some tough shots in Game 1 around the rim. Towns does a lot of his work on the perimeter, averaging two three-pointers per game on 42 percent.
He’s always been an elite three-point shooter, so he shouldn’t stray away from that portion of his game just because Harris is guarding him. Towns is the better player and should dictate where he lines up in most offensive sets.
After Game 2’s performance, Towns should be in line to bounce back on the road in Game 3. The Knicks need to make adjustments, and one of the first should be getting Towns more open three-point looks.
